Bio / Statement

I am a multimedia artist from New York City. I moved to the Bay Area in my 20's to attend the California College of the Arts, and later received my MFA from U.C. Berkeley. Since then I have been an active participant in the Bay Area arts community through exhibition and curation, and a member of the Mercury 20 Gallery for the past 15 years.

Through my work, I hope that people will discover new ways to look at our complex and challenging world. My explorations examine the ties between history, science and culture; whether considering environmental degradation, conspicuous consumption, or the relationship between money and militarism. I work with a wide range of materials: bowling balls, folded tar paper, and most recently I’ve included photography and painting in my practice.
